Energy: Full Spectrum [2013]
Published in Past Events
Our main annual event for 2013, "Energy: Full Spectrum" explored many interpretations of energy, from being a valuable natural resource to human body and mental energy.
To demonstrte that, we celebrate our post-event for PACE: Impact Beyond Speed with this short video shot by our main stage photographer, Scott Blasken, during the initial talk by Julien LePage. We kicked off with a dynamic shared drumming activation, demonstrating that "pace" takes many forms...

For us, it's a rare thing to have one hard-working event photographer capture another having a moment of pure, raw, fun... that's what makes this such a delightful discovery when we were checking photo sets and saw this one of long-time volunteer and true TEDxCalgary friend Scott Blasken. He has captured more iconic images for us over the years with his masterful eye.than we can count, so our thanks to the About Love Photography team for this one!
Joining us this year as a first-time partner was About Love Photography Services, who were at our event to capture images of our Interactions Partners, participants, and volunteers!
They did an exceptional job and captured anamazing set of photos... thank you!!

Our main event for 2016, "(r)Evolutions", took us full circle around the immensely creative talents of our speakers, who included the co-founder of Beakerhead, an Olympic gymnast, a guru of the world of work, and scientists using video game technology to better understand bodies.

Our main event for 2017, "Signal vs Noise", featured speakers ranging from astronauts and astronomers to inventors and poets to soldiers and young robot designers. All had one thing in common: their messages were clear signal that needed to cut through the noise of our crowded, every-day lives.

Every team needs an organized core, and Marcel is our project manager extraordinaire.
In true superhero fashion, by day he runs his own consultancy, MySimplifyCoach, and by night he wrangles us into some sort of order. You'll always see his ready smile and laugh at our various community salon meetups, and he'll be the guy taking care of the details at our main events and team meetings.
